Introductie

René Zwijnenburg is CEO of In2Dialog, a software company that uses AI to record, process and connect recruitment conversations to ATS systems. He started his career as an accountant at PwC, moved into the HR tech world as CFO at Connexys, an ATS vendor that was later acquired, and is now ultimately responsible for In2Dialog. The company has eleven employees and focuses on both corporate organisations and the staffing industry.

In de aflevering

Q: What does In2Dialog do and what makes it different from other AI tools for recruitment according to René Zwijnenburg?

A: In2Dialog records recruitment conversations and processes them via AI into a report that is fully configured to the organisation's needs. What sets it apart: the entire framework was built from within the recruitment sector. The system understands recruitment language, assesses whether there is a connection between candidate and interviewer, and can deeply integrate with virtually all ATS systems in the Netherlands via open APIs. René emphasises that In2Dialog did not jump on the AI hype but worked from an early stage with the question: what can we do with AI?

Q: How does In2Dialog help junior recruiters develop faster according to René Zwijnenburg?

A: By holding up a mirror after the conversation. In2Dialog evaluates the interview based on methodologies like STAR and shows the junior recruiter how well they applied the technique. Did they probe the situation well? Was there a moment to ask deeper questions? That gives recruiters insight into their own interviewing without the manager always needing to be present. Combined with solid preparation beforehand, it means juniors reach high-quality conversations faster.

Q: How does René Zwijnenburg from In2Dialog view AI avatars in the recruitment process?

A: As an unavoidable development, with a personal preference for human contact. René hopes conversations remain personal and that organisations do not hide behind avatars. At the same time he sees that the generation now entering the workforce increasingly treats avatars as normal. For standardised conversations and short intake calls, the barrier is almost gone. For In2Dialog it makes no technical difference whether a conversation is conducted by an avatar or a human: as long as there is audio, the system can process it.

Q: Why does René Zwijnenburg from In2Dialog believe so strongly in partnerships between recruitment tech companies?

A: Because one plus one equals three in this context. René describes how different point solutions each deliver major added value in their own niche, but together form a complete solution that genuinely moves the client forward. When In2Dialog takes assessment data from a partner as context in the conversation, the output of the interview becomes more relevant and the recruiter's preparation improves. That symbiosis arises fairly naturally in the recruitment tech sector but requires parties that actively work together.

Q: What are the most valuable metrics for a CEO of a recruitment tech scale-up according to René Zwijnenburg from In2Dialog?

A: MRR, ARR and churn are the top lines, but René prefers to go one level deeper. How much is the system actually being used? Is that a predictor of churn? Can you act on it in time? That product usage data translates into cash flow forecasts, and cash flow is one of the most important metrics at any scale-up. His advice: listen to your current clients to ground both retention and product development in real insights, not assumptions.
