Italian Language

Italy is one of Europe's largest consumer markets and a steady partner of the Netherlands in design, fashion, food and luxury. But Italians are sensitive to tone. An email that reads as neutral in English can come across as blunt or even rude in Italian. The Italian Language Assessment measures in multiple-choice questions whether a candidate masters Italian at work level: spelling, grammar, verb tenses, formal tone. For roles where Italian makes the difference in customer contact and business relationships.

3 Reasons we love this assessment

01
Tu or Lei? Tone makes the difference
Italians immediately feel whether an email is formal or informal, and whether it matches the relationship. Anyone who mixes 'tu' and 'Lei' damages the business relationship without noticing.
02
Knockout in a quarter of an hour
A quick first filter. Candidates who don't have enough of the language for the role drop out immediately, so your time goes to the ones who can move forward.
03
Three levels in one test
From basics to advanced. Difficulty rises, so in one measurement you distinguish between 'can write a text message' and 'can write a report'.

Information

Three levels

Basic (spelling, double consonants, presente), intermediate (passato prossimo, imperfetto, pronouns) and advanced (congiuntivo, formal tone, business expressions).

Multiple choice, knockout format

No open answers, no subjective grading. Immediately clear who masters the language at work level and who doesn't, so you can move on with the candidates who matter.

Under time pressure

The test has a fixed time limit. Candidates answer as many questions as they can within that time, so you measure not just knowledge but also pace.

Instant insight into work level

After the test the score lands in your dashboard right away. No waiting, no manual review. At a glance you see whether a candidate is ready for emails, reports and customer communication.
