Flying Dutchman

How someone handles uncertainty and responsibility for others. A ship sets sail. The course is uncertain. The reward could be big, the loss too. What do you do: decide yourself, or let your siblings choose? In four minutes Flying Dutchman measures two core leadership traits: willingness to take risk and willingness to carry responsibility also when others feel the consequences.

Information

4 minutes

Twenty choices, all in narrative form. Real dilemmas where someone has to pick.

Not just 'taking risks'

Many assessments just ask whether someone likes taking risks. Flying Dutchman goes deeper, does someone dare to choose when it affects others too? That's leadership.

Predicts leadership behaviour

High scores belong to people who actually show leadership at work: making decisions, handling uncertainty, carrying responsibility for others.

Scientifically grounded

The research behind it was published in Science the journal where work only lands if it truly holds up. Not a marketing claim, just something to build on.
